Another piece to your Christmas puzzle.

Fortunately I haven’t had to deal with a lot of the negativity you rightly present in your opening. I do have some childhood memories of my Aunt Bea crying at the family holiday dinner because one of the four different kinds of something she made didn’t turn out to her liking. Never mind the rest of the feast which could have easily fed three times the number of guests present, turned out fine.

Eggnog is interesting. It’s been around in some form all my life. I remember liking it much more when I was younger than I do now. My wife and daughter consume it now although not in copious quantities.

Fruit cake though is a food group for me. I don’t eat the heavily glazed stuff that has huge glazed fruit pieces all over. My younger daughter developed a recipe that I really like and will consume it year round. She makes it in small loaves though that can be wrapped to be consumed in a single sitting.

I haven’t really watched many Christmas movies this year. I’m currently watching The Godfather series but that doesn’t count.

I’m looking forward to your final installment. This has been a series worth keeping. Thank you.

Love the insight here. Yes, the FOMOs are at work. Being a non alcoholic, vegetarian 🥑 Egg Nog sounds horrible. The fruit cake hmmmm? Those Romans (my ancestors) had odd tastes. Thanks to you for a well researched series. 👏😇
