Lazy writing of dialogue in screenplays, The Matrix, and a cliché all demonstrate that the world we live in today is different from the one we’ve known for the last several decades – yet, they don’t.
Totally off topic, but they're making a Groundhog's Day 2. No, I don't know why.
Nicely done, from start to finish. I don't know where this all ends. As you know, we aren't of the same frame of mind religiously. I tend to think that empires rise and fall, as history demonstrates, and something new comes from the rubble. And it really, really sucks when you're living in the falling stage, which we are. But perhaps something new and better will rise from the rubble. That is my hope.
Good Lord — of all the films that don't warrant a remake — first Ghostbusters, now Groundhog Day...
Your optimism that something new and better might arise is something I find enviable!
Yes, living in the decline truly sucks — I really would have liked to drill down and more fully explore it, but I found myself in a dark place and spiraling downward, so I had to leave it alone.
I thought it mirrored Ecclesiastes. Incidentally, I think some trying to push Hegseth out because he is not for war with Iran. Neither, I believe, are Vance or Gabbard. All three veterans of real war zones.
Every sentence spoken in the movie "Avatar" is a cliche. No way? Shocking but true. 100%
"Putting on the foil." "Sure, Coach. Every game." - That's good writing!

A lot of good stuff, there - a more thorough perusal is warranted!
Appreciate all feedback.

Oh, I know about dark places. But you have great instincts on how to handle it. They’re worth emulating.
From Kipling's "The Gods of the Copybook Headings"
As it will be in the future, it was at the birth of Man —
There are only four things certain since Social Progress began —
That the Dog returns to his Vomit and the Sow returns to her Mire,
And the burnt Fool's bandaged finger goes wabbling back to the Fire —
And that after this is accomplished, and the brave new world begins
When all men are paid for existing and no man must pay for his sins
As surely as Water will wet us, as surely as Fire will burn
The Gods of the Copybook Headings with terror and slaughter return!
LOVE that!

I concur – all the way around!
